The light on my walk today had that golden hue that reminded of Summer- which will be here in no time.


I made a conscious effort to notice things and to get out of my head a little. Take in the sea air, the sound of waves, the rustling of grasses…
The dandelions growing up through the cracks of the sidewalk reminded me of a book I read by Michael Pollan years ago called Second Nature. In it he talks about Nature’s resilience, he talks about build areas butting up into wilder spaces, the symbolism of lawns among other things. It’s one of those books that teaches history as it goes along- something I love.
